Relating is Healing

Relating is Healing

Relating is Healing.

Mother Nature is the mother of love itself– the mother of all that matters, ever tending the relationship between energy and its shape. Shape is what fulfills need, just like a child's game where the square block fits only in the square hole. Everything must work in the natural world. Everything must work together through participation and collaboration. Matter has its shape, its density and its states.

The building blocks of our biological world and how they work together are the result of an ongoing process of discovery as of what works. The discoverer witnesses the apparent need which ignites creative energy– energy released in patterns. Some patterns work while other patterns do not. Whatever manages to work, find balance, and stabilize gives rise to further creative opportunities.

The impeccable balance and harmony exhibited in the human body is a product of this profound process of discovery active in all of nature. Observe the spiral in galaxies. The spiral shows up again in a hurricane, in a seashell, and the pattern of hair on the back of our heads. Mother Nature repeats the same patterns again and again, building the natural world. Where does all of this come from or begin? What is the origin of this behavior?

Origin suggests a time and place of birth. This is not going to work for our purposes, as nature is timeless. Let’s look at the word "origin" instead as describing a point from which life continues to emerge– sort of an ongoing "Big Bang" rather than something in the past. If you consider how to measure distance through space, the idea of time comes into play. Is it really time or is it dimensional change? This ongoing origin is consistent with the recognition of possibility as source. Possibility is like empty space. No "thing" exists there to inhibit creation. Instead, it remains pure and empty, and all things emerge from it.

We get so caught up in our world of physical things that we forget that at the heart of our world lives this almost dreamlike, children's-book-like world of mysterious potential. Take a moment and catch a more poetic glimpse of the idea of "possibility" residing at the heart of all things. If you really take that moment, you will recognize that it cannot be otherwise. What can you think of that falls outside of the realm of possibility? Sure, it’s the stuff of imagination, but where would you expect life to come from? Life eternally emerges from the fact that it can. That fact is possibility and it is quite real.

To return to the exploration of our ongoing origins, let us imagine that somehow, though no form exists, this empty space that we refer to as "possibility" is aware of its potential. It lives now within all of us. It is pure awareness with nothing to be aware of but its own capacity to imagine itself in projected, energetic form. It is from this pure awareness that images of "what can be" spring. An image witnessed is spirit unleashed, and the natural world explodes into manifestation. It manifests as energy in form and shape, and it matters to its creator for all the while its creator lives in and through it. We call this life.

The physical world can be very intimidating, especially when we see it as impenetrable. However, we can reclaim our power as creators by getting in touch with this deep, sacred source of "possibility". If all this resonates, is it not clear how we might heal ourselves. We as creators might recreate. For ourselves, we are the answer we are looking for.
